NOTE: Before doing this you must need to Patch DSDT and SSDT
>>https://noobsplanet.com/index.php?threads/patch-disabling-discrete-graphics-for-better-performance.17/<<

We need 3 thing for Controlling Laptop Backlight/Brightness:
  1. AppleBacklightInjector.kext
  2. Patch for config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch
  3. SSDT-PNLF.aml
First we need "command line tools".You can easily download it via "Terminal"
In "Terminal" type 'git' and hit enter.
Code:
git
After that the "command line tools" is start downloading. After finish the download.Again in "Terminal" Type this command and hit enter. In the following commands we are creating a Project directory and cloning the RehabMan's patch from github.
Bash:
mkdir ~/Projects
cd ~/Projects
git clone https://github.com/RehabMan/HP-ProBook-4x30s-DSDT-Patch probook.git
Now this time to build SSDT-PNLF.aml
Again in Terminal,
*Type this command and hit enter
Bash:
cd ~/Projects/guide.git
*Type this command and hit enter
Bash:
make
.....................
All Done....:)

Let's start to install......
1.Go to Finder>Preferences>Sidebar and tick "user"

3.Go to Projects folder/guide.git/build/ and copy SSDT-PNLF.aml to your clover/acpi/patch
4.Go to Projects folder/guide.git/and open config_patches.plist with Plist Editor.[Recommended]
5.Then mount your EFI and go to Clover and open your config.plist with Plist Editor.[""""""""""""""""]

Download Plist Editor<<Here

Patching....
1.Go to Projects folder/guide.git/config_patches.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch and copy "15" under KextToPatch....
3.png

And Past it here...
  • Open your "config.plist"
  • Go to KarnelAndKextOatches/KextTopatch and paste it.
then Save.
*In my case I gave the line number "4"

**Note:Don't use Clover Configurator** for Copy/Paste.
**Plist Editor is [Recommended]**

Installing... AppleBacklightInjector.kext
*install AppleBacklightInjector.kext to Library/Extension using your favorite kext installer for example....
>>Kext Wizard<<<Click

After that...
in Terminal :

Did you follow this guide? OR it is by default you're getting this issue?

I have issue after full acceleration and dsdt patch
Seems like you're starting a discussion on the problem. Create a new thread on DSDT forum.
