Hi again, I got sound working on my HP 250g6 intel core i5 7200u +HD620gfx using voodooHDA method because couldn't get sound with the other methods, but it is very low and poor quality sound, I tried the half volume fix (true instead of false) but doesn't do much. Any idea how to get "normal" sound work.

thanx

I tried to re-install Mojave from scratch and this time I used AppleALC and it did work : actually at first it didn't but I was decided not to install VoodooHDA as sound was too low. So I stayed with "no sound" but AppleALC was in my EFI/CLOVER/Kext/Other folder and layout id was filled in CC. Then I decided to install my USB WiFi driver to get internet wireless. The driver installation done I had to reboot, and after that, bam ! sound was working !! I have no idea why this time it worked. The only thing is sound is as low as VoodooHDA ^^ --> Maybe Soundbooster can help ?

Try different layout id for your system. Form where you are using your config.plist? I would recommend you to take a look at this article so that you'll be clearer on how to use AppleALC.kext for audio and supported codec for your system as well. Please feel free to open this thread again if get any problem.
Good luck (y)(y)
