Hi there, I messed up my hackintosh pretty badly earlier. I had confused VirtualSMC and FakeSMC, and ended up with an extra FakeSMC in my /library/extensions folder, which was causing boot issues. I had been trying a number of other fixes too, and at one point decided I would rather start a fresh install since I most likely had made some other errors along the way. I was unable to boot into the Mojave installer- I thought it was getting short-circuited by the FakeSMC, which probably doesn't make sense...At the time I thought the best solution was to format the hard drive from my windows installer and start fresh. (So far I've been unable to install Windows on this machine as well, but I knew I could at least get to the installer where I could erase the hard drive.)
Long story short, I now have a Dell Latitude e7470 with no operating system on it and the Mojave usb Installer is still not running properly. It will either get stuck endlessly booting , or crash before getting to the OS utilities window. I've tried a few different Clover configurations, a couple Aptio fixes, tweaked BIOS according to guides... Is this all because I erased the entire hard drive from the windows installer, and thus it's not formatted Mac OS Extended?
If that's the case then, I really hope there is a way to remedy this! I see there's a tool for Windows, EaseUS Partition Master, but it doesn't look like it has compatibility for formatting Mac OS Extended. I am a noob, please tell me there is hope that my machine will live again! I've attached my current Clover folder also if that's any help. Let me know if any more info is needed!
Thank you so much!
